About the Degenerates

Degenerate Sports was a brain child of Tony Rodriguez who wanted to start a Fantasy Football League with his closest friends. That Fantasy Football league has a 10 team membership and has been going strong since 2004. Tony watched as he and his friends began to build families, have children and strengthen their professional careers. All the while the time for much needed play was missing. He thought it was time to expand the Degenerate Brand. Tony called on Vince Cavallo and Dan Romandi to help build this brand. Vince was quick to act, the domain name was purchased and a website was opened to the public. Today www.degeneratesports.com receives 150 unique visitors per day. This is an incredible number considering our size. Dan shot into action by holding the 2007 Degenerate Poker Tournament of Champions; this very successful event hosted many satellite games throughout the year and culminated in one final champion who won a cash prize along with a customized gold bracelet. In 2008 the inaugural Degenerate Golf tournament was held in Ventura California at two of the most pristine courses in the region, Los Robles Golf Course in Westlake Village and Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara. Three rounds of golf scored to fairly compensate for the ability level of all players was used to make all sixteen participants very happy. In 2009 Mike Corr has been called upon to run the 2009 Degenerate Golf tournament in San Diego. So far we have a commitment of 28 golfers and a waiting list for those who weren’t able to act in time to reserve a spot.

The future of Degenerate Sports is bright. The four man board of directors consisting of:

• Tony Rodriguez, President & Chief Executive Officer

• Dan Romandi, Chief Operating Officer

• Vince Cavallo, Chief Technology Officer

• Mike Corr, Executive Vice President in charge of Social Activities

…have banded together to make Degenerate Sports the most recognized sports club in Southern California. We all know that membership has its privileges and the same is true when you join Degenerate Sports. The club offers many benefits to its members including discounted entry fees to all Degenerate sponsored activities, discounts offered by restaurants, retailers and on-line stores exclusively to Degenerate Sports members. As the Degenerate brand evolves we will also strive to make a difference in the communities where we live by hosting events where all proceeds will go to benefit different worth while charities.
